Abbey & Lyndon are proud to announce they have been selected as a finalist at the National Building Awards 2019 for Contractor of the Year (contract up to £1m) for their project at Gheluvelt Park in Worcester.
The project involved refurbishing the Sons of Rest Pavilion within this historic park in the heart of Worcester. The pavilion has a community room, kitchen, baby changing and toilet facilities and well as an ice cream & snack kiosk. Works carried out involved completing re-building of the pavilion and landscaping the area around it to provide the public with some much needed facilities.
David Auld, Managing Director proudly states “We are very proud to be nominated for this award. The project was largely a community based project and will provide the public with services that will enhance the profile of Gheluvelt Park for the foreseeable future. Abbey & Lyndon were delighted with the outcome and wish Worcester City Council all the best with their new facilities”
The National Building Awards Final will be held at the iconic Wembley Stadium on Wednesday 22nd May at 6.30pm.
